The Daisies earned their Daisy Flower Garden Journey patches. They each shared a letter they wrote to future Daisies. They were, most of them, able to add the Mari petal, showing they were responsible for what they say and do. Alexis and Annabelle have also earned their Promise Center and we'll work on getting them caught up this year.
The Brownies earned their Discover Key and Connect Key. In earning the Discover Key, the girls discovered themselves and their values as a Girl Scout and a member of her family. To earn the Connect Key, the Brownies connected as a member of a Brownie Team, with her family on a healthy-living activity, and, as a group with their community to increase healthy-living opportunities.
After all the awards were handed out, we enjoyed some snacks, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and made cards to send to Girl Scouts in New York who were affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Our next meeting is Monday, January 7 at Harvest Church.
