December 10 Meeting

Great meeting on Monday!

The Daisies learned about being Responsible for What I Say and Do.  Their homework was to do 3 things that showed their families that they are responsible.  They made Daisy hands to leave behind when they completed the task.  They will need to report back on Monday the 17th to officially earn the petal.  Any Daisy who missed can also complete 3 tasks to show their family they are responsible and report back to us to earn the petal.

The Brownies worked on the connect patch for the quest journey. We learned about ways that we can help our community. Homework for the week is to finish pages in the quest journey that have to do with healthy living and our families. Brownies also need to think about who we want to write our letter to and what we want to address. I believe we had decided on addressing the graffiti on the playground equipment at several of the parks in town.

We all enjoyed the Pass the Ball activity, which taught the girls teamwork as they passed the ball along the group without using their hands.  Much giggling ensued!

Our next meeting is Monday December 17 and we will hold our Awards Ceremony and hand out any patches that have been earned by the girls this fall.  The Daisies will read their letters to future Daisies (or share what they would like to tell a future Daisy).  We will enjoy a little Christmas party after with food, A Charlie Brown Christmas and the girls will make Christmas cards to send to fellow Girl Scouts in New York who were affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Please note we start all meetings at 5:45 sharp!  Our meetings are jam packed and we do not want to have to miss a promised activity.
